This is My Story

Hi, I’m Megan!  Whether you’re new to yoga, or you’ve been practicing for years, I can help!  I enjoy making yoga accessible for people of all experience and ability levels.  Whether in large groups or private sessions, customizing a practice to your needs helps me to connect with you more personally and allows you to discover the benefits of yoga or expand your practice in a safe, supportive environment.  Every yoga teacher has a different style, and I believe yoga is meant to be playful!  You may be working up a sweat, but it shouldn’t be stressful! When yoga is practiced in a fun way, it is more relatable to life off the mat, allowing you to carry your practice with you throughout the rest of your day.

Wellbeing has always been important to me, but it’s more than just physical fitness.  Yoga is a great way to achieve your fitness goals, and there are many different types of yoga, as well as modifications, that allow you to practice at your own level.  Yoga is also great for taking care of your mind, stress level, and emotions.  When you’re fully present on your yoga mat, you are giving yourself the gift of self-care, which promotes healthy mental and emotional wellbeing.  Regular yoga practice will produce great wellbeing benefits that impact your life on and off the mat.  You can be fully present whether you’re completely focused on your practice, or giggling with your neighbor.  Experiment and have fun with your practice – do what works best for you!

Yoga also builds a sense of community.  Whether you interact with others during class or not, you’re forming a connection with the like-minded people around you. That sense of community stays with you beyond your practice, helping you face life’s challenges.  Yoga is the ultimate wellbeing tool, giving you the power to get what you need by practicing with focus and intention.  Since everyone’s needs are different, make sure to set an intention that serves you!  Two people can take the same class and have totally different, satisfying experiences.  And that is the beauty of yoga.

When I’m not practicing or teaching yoga, I love spending time with friends, sipping chai lattes, reading, cooking, and traveling the world with my Bob.
